Sam Gribley ran away from his home to live in the wild. He is going to live where his grandpa's old torn down farm is. He makes a hole in a giant tree and enters the tree. The tree is Sam's new home. People try to find Sam all the the time. Nobody does. He get's lonely all the time so he has a pet falcon that he trained. He ending up living a happy life. I would given this book a 3 out of 5. It was a very long book.
Tittle My Side Of The Moutain.This book is about a boy named Sam and he is going to run away.He is going to the Gribley farm[his great grandfather's farm].He does very well on his own.He meets lots of friends and animals.Like Frightful [His pet bird].alives in a tree . His dad comes to see him every once and a while.One day Sam herd foot steps and lots of noises he thought oh no they found me.You will have to read the book to find out more.I give this book a 7 because of all th details.

He built a house out of a tree and ate venison and acorn pancakes and some other stuff.along the way he met Frightful(his Falcon). They lived together and became best friends to the time Frightful was a little bird till the day he flew away to make a family.He met new people and had some strange events while he was there.I would rate this book a 3 out of 5 stars because i don't think it was that exciting.

This is a very wild book. In this book there is a boy named Sam and he told his dad that he was going to run away, so his dad let him because he thought Sam would come back that night. Sam didn't. Sam found a stream so he made a fishing hook, and let it in the stream. After catching a fish he made himself a bed. He had heard about his grandfather owning some land so he set of to find it. Once he was settled into a tree near the land,he saw a hawk so he new there was a nest somewhere. After a while of living in the woods, he was being written about in the paper. He met a few friends along the journey. At the end, his whole family comes to see him and has a suprise!! I give this book 4 stars!!

Sam has many hardships like finding a home getting food but he does it all. Sam also make new friends that he spends time with. Do you think Someone will find Sam? I loved this book because it was not to long. I give this book four stars!
