  1. Title: Ghost Mysteries
    Author: Kathleen Weidner Zoeheeld

This book is about how ghost are a part of our lives in weird creepy ways. Honestly, I don't believe in ghost, but then there's a part of me that does. I also think that this book is a little random cause it has like "How to Haunt Your Own House." Really, I would not want to put a curse on my house cause once evil is in it's very hard to get out. I give this book a 2 of 5. Though it was very interesting telling things about ghost but ghost aren't really my style of reading. Well if you like ghost and evil I suggest you read this book but people who don't like scary and evil things DON'T READ THIS BOOK!!!

  3. Title: Awesome Ancient Ancestors
    Author: Elizabeth

This book is about yes ancient ancestors. In this book it talks about how the cave men and women drew on the cave walls to keep them busy. Between each chapter there is a little bug that tells you a little bit about the next chapter. It talks about how they made a huge stone bird called Poverty Point. Archaeologists think that Poverty Point is a place of religious worship. Years later, they started making giant heads. Know one knows why, the people made them. This is a good book so I give it 5 stars!!

  4. Title: America the Beautiful:West Virginia
    Author: R. Conrad Stein

I chose this book because I wanted to hear about where my father was born and raised. I rate this book 3 stars out of 5 stars because it was boring half of the time. I compare this book to an encyclopedia. This book has all of the facts about West Virginia. It includes the size, history, people, art, and entertainment found in West Virginia. I learned a lot about Daniel Boone from Wheeling, West Virginia.

  5. My Book:Looking at Paintings
    Author:Erika Langmuir & Ruth Thomson

Ok Honestly, I love art and this book has a lot of cool stuff about art so if you are intersted in art you should read this book. some things I thought were cool are:Art can be just a canvas on a table and the artist takes his or her brush and splatters it all over the canvas. Something I thought was cool is that there is a person named Luis Melendez and every time he paints a picture he paint some food in every picture it would be fruit or food.

I rate this book a 5 star it was cool and interesting so if you like art READ THIS BOOK!

  6. Trail of Tears
    Tracy Barret

The Trail of Tears is a book about when the Americans pushed the Cherokee Indians out of their homes past the Mississippi River to Oklahoma. The Cherokee called it “The Trail Of Tears” because it was so devastating to them. 4,00 of the Cherokee Indians died during this trip. I rate this book a 1out of 5 because it was kind of sad to me because my ancestors were Indians that had to take this trip.

  7. Title: America the Beautiful: Louisiana
    Author: Deborah Kent

I chose this book because I want to learn more about southern states. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars because of inspiring facts and great pictures. I compare this book to the West Virginia book. They have the same
qualities and same type of detail. An interesting fact about Louisiana is that they grow many crops by the swamp. Another interesting fact is that a forty mile stretch along the Mississippi River is known as the German Coast because of the German Farmers that settled there in the 1700s.

  8. Title: Titanic
Author: Will & Mary Pope Osborne

This is a very interesting book I chose this book because it has lot of cool things that happened in the past. 9. Title: Beyond the Lemonade Stand
    Author: Bill Rancic

I chose this book because I want to start a business when I grow up. I rate this book 4 and a half stars because of interesting detail even though some parts became boring. This book is about how to start a business. There was one story about a 10 year old boy named Yuvraj Duggal who made $300 from a car wash at his house with help from his dad and best friend. He split the money three way and each got $100. I now have ideas how to start a business this summer!

  10. Title: America the Beautiful: Alabama
    Author: Sylvia McNair

I chose this book because I wanted to learn more about the state of Alabama. I rate this book 5 stars because of the informational detail. I compare this book to America the Beautiful: West Virginia because of state information. This book is about Alabama from the inside. At Tannehill Historical State Park near Bessemer preserves lays the ruins of the Tannehill Ironworks. One thing I thought was interesting was a farm family in the 1930's only ate biscuits and beans for lunch and supper during the Great Depression. It would have been tough to live during that time.

    Author: Raintree Children's Encyclopedia

This book tells you about a lot. It tells you about the solar system, our earth, rocks and minerals, etc. My favorite part was the continents and how they formed. My favorite continent was Asia. Asia is about 17,085,000 square miles. Asia is one of the largest continents. It has part of the great plain that runs out of Europe. There is way more that I can't fit. This book was good so I give it 4 out of 5 stars!!

  13. Title: behind enemy lines
    author: Bill Doyle

Heros. The army. the stories of real life heros (and dogs too) that saved other lives like a young women saved a teammate in a ravaging Iraqi inferno, a man and his crew save 32 lives, and a man that blew up a underwater mine that could have blew up a captains ship.my favorite story is when three dogs save a man and a military base when a bomber came in and gave the base a unknowed coming bombing. As the heros saved the others in trouble others are fighting to kill them and this is why they are called heros.

I think this is one of the best books I have ever read. I give this book a 5 out of 5 stars for three reasons. one is because this is a very amazing book ,two because this had happness and sadness and three because these are real life heros .And i want to thank the army ... one day soon.

  14. Guinness World records to the extreme

This book was about different people who had done something that are trying to be new or better. Some of them are a golden retriever dog holding 5 regular size tennis balls at once. Another one was the largest ice cream sundae which was 20.27 tons of ice cream, 4.39 tons of syrup, 537 pounds 3 ounces of toppings, and plenty of spoons and bowls. The final weight of that was 54914 pounds! The last one that I found most interresting was an individual pulling the heavisted air craft plane.

This book I thought was really intrersting with all the different records that they do that I'm not sure really happenned.I know you will love this book!

  15. Roanoke: The Abandoned Colony
    Karen Ordahl Kupperman

This book was about, of course, the Lost Colony of Roanoke. It tells about Sir Walter Raleigh and some other men and woman who had to make this trip and also attempt to try to keep the colony. Well it turns out that they have failed and it says in the book that the main source of information was not much, but the word Croatoan carved in a post. I personally liked this book okay, but I would have liked a book more like Blood on the River, where the plot of the story is basically from a person who experienced it, instead of a book where it just tells you all the information, which is a little bit boring to me. So I guess the final rate I give this is probably around a 3 or 4 out of 10. If I were you, I would pick out more interesting book instead of reading this.

    Woe is I Jr.
    Patricia T. O'Conner

This book teaches you about punctuation, grammer, etc. In this book the author puts jokes, that are not very funny, and uses peoms to give examples of what she is talking about. There also are pictures that are supposed to help you understand more. In the very back of the book it gives you definitions of words she talked about in the book. My most favorite part of the book is when she talked about punctuation in chapter 10. This was a really informational book and it taught me things I didn't know. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars!!

  17. World War 2
    Shirley Jordan

This book was about what it says on the top: World War 2. This book told me about why the world went to war, how it got started, and also this book talked about many of the places of countries they fought in. This book was very interesting to read, but not quite as exciting as some other books I have read about World War 2. So the over-all grade I give this book is about 7.5 out of 10.

  18. Looking Down
    Steve Jenkins

First of all, I give this book a 3 out of 10. Before I began I will just say I am not a big fan of astronomy. This book was about the planets and solar system. If you are a astronomy fan, this book is for you. It has all the facts you would probably think are cool. And on some pages it has some jokes about the solar system. I didn’t really like this book, but that doesn’t mean you won’t like it!

  19. Title: Amazing Places to Take Your Kids.
    Author: Laura Sutherland

This book is a book my mom made me read. It is about all the different places in the United States that are cool places for kids. It has information on why you would like to see it and it shows really cool pictures of the place. We use this book as a family to help us pick where we want to go on vacation and where I would like to go sometime in my life. I would recommend this book because the author gives you facts and why you would want to travel there. On a score of 1 to 5 I would give it a 5 and someday I hope to see all the places in the book.

  20. Alcatraz..The Hardest Year
    Author Roy F. Chandler

This book is a book i picked up when I was in San Francisco and visited "The Rock" known as Alcatraz. This book is an informational guide to what daily life was in Alcatraz. It talks about what criminals lived there and why it was so difficult to escape Alcatraz. My favorite part of the book was learning what happened to people once they were sent to Alcatraz and how big their cell was and what they got to do and eat. Reading about the criminals was also interesting. I never would have wanted to go there and it is much worse than jail. On a score from 1-5, i would give it a 4 because it was interesting.

  21. Title: Family Fun..North Carolina
    Author: James L Hoffman

This book is an informational book about fun things to do in North Carolina. You could look up a city and see what fun things kids and adults could do in that town. My mom thought I should read it so we can do some of the day trips this summer. The one adventure that I want to do is visiting Sliding Rock. It is a big slide made of rocks on a mountain. But they say the water is very cold! There are a bunch of other activities that look fun and they also write about lots of places to eat. On a score of 1-5, I would give it a 3 because some of the activities don't look that fun.

  24. Are We There Yet? The Europeans Meet the Americans
    By: Elizabeth Levy

I would give the book Are We There Yet? a 2 star rating because it was really boring. The comics were cheesy but they were rarely funny. They stated the facts about the things in history in a way that just wasn’t interesting. This book is about how the Europeans met the Native Americans and what they found out after meeting them. The Europeans found out that the Native Americans had gold, really cool cities and more. They also found out that the Americans ate rats with sauce, water fly eggs, and tadpoles to. This book even talks about some Vikings coming to the new world.

  25. The Book of World Records 2011
    Jennifer Corr Morse

This book was about people who have set a record that no body has beaton. Some of the facts can be by cooking, goals, sports, and animals. Some of the records I had enjoyed were United States of America has the most fast food places and United Kingdom sells the most chocolate. Sports one of my favorite ones was USA girls soccer tean has the most CAPS points.

I was very interested in this book because the USA soccer team is the team I cheer for on TV and chocolate is my fffffffffaaaaaaaavvvvvvvoooorrritte candy!
